All Kids Craft Fair - ages 7 - 14

Applications for the 2010 All Kids Craft Fair will be available between September 1 and September 30. Children who participated last year will be mailed an application, and Branch Libraries will be sent some applications for their customers who wish to participate in this Modesto Library event. The All Kids Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, October 9, on the Modesto Library portico, from 9 a.m. to 12:00 noon. It features handicrafts made and sold be children ages 7 - 14. Lincoln kickoff reception

  Come to the Lincoln exhibit kickoff reception today (Thursday) at 5:30 p.m. at the Modesto Library.  If you can't make it, try attending one of our other Lincoln events. You can see the events on our website.

Amgen Tour 2010

Yesterday the Amgen Tour came through Modesto.  The riders have already raced by the Modesto Library on their way to the finish line, in case you missed it or want a second look  take look at some of our pictures..  It was an amazing end to Stage 4 of the Amgen Tour.

Access My Library

AccessMyLibrary is an application that allows you to access our Gale Databases right from your iPhone or iPod Touch! As long as you are within a 10 mile radius from any Stanislaus County Library you will be able use these resources without using your library card number to login.

 

Game Day on Saturday

Teens, do you like playing games?  Come to the Modesto Library's Auditorium this Saturday, March 20 from 12-4 p.m.  We will be playing a Dungeons & Dragons adventure, The Lonely Tower, specifically introducing options from the new Player’s Handbook 3. Episode of "Castle"

Last night's episode of "Castle," a TV series about a murder mystery writer and a NYPD detective, featured real life mystery writers Michael Connelly and Stephen J. Cannell.  Hope you were able to catch it!

Are you a Twilight fan?

Whether you like or love the Twilight series you should come to Modesto Library's Teen Twilight Extravaganza. The event will be on Monday, November 16 at 4 p.m. in the downstairs auditorium. There will be trivia, discussion of all things Twilight, and a chance to win tickets to see the new movie, "New Moon."  And of course, food and drink will be provided.
